Care West Risk Management

Care West is really a Risk Management company with the ability to write insurance.

With ARM certified Risk Managers and Safety Specialists, the only thing anyone really needs to know about Care West is that we exist to find the Root Causes of our Policyholder's issues and develop solutions to address those problems.

We have a research and development side where we develop custom cutting edge tools to help with safety. Tools like safety payroll stuffers for employees on the go or CD Roms packed full of safety information with everything from sample Safety Manuals to easily navigable and printable Safety Material.

Care West's Risk Management Program ensures that our policyholders are safety-aware and compliant with the most progressive programs to reduce claims, injuries to workers and lost time.

We establish a safety partnership with our policyholders. This partnership includes a commitment to rigorous safety awareness.

The partnership begins with an onsite pre-approval process where Care West executives meet with you, or your owner, to discuss the Care West safety program, claims management, modified duty, and timeliness of the monthly payroll audit.

Once the program is in place, our Safety Specialists conduct periodic hazard identification visits and audit safety training documentation following the steps below.

Risk Management Procedures for Loss Control:

Loss Control Consultant will conduct a periodic Risk Identification Inspection & Audit.

On arrival to the facility, the consultant will meet with the Safety Officer and each Department Head to audit the Safety Committee Monthly Meeting Minutes and the Department Safety Training Documentation.  A Risk Identification Inspection will be conducted using the Loss Control Hazard Check List criteria (Found in our Forms section).

Consultants also perform DHS Surveys on Plant Maintenance, Equipment, Organization and Environmental Services so that when facilities get surveyed by the Department of Health or OSHA, our facilities will be prepared. We conduct our DHS Survey using our DHS Check List criteria (Found in our Forms section).
